How to clean Teppanyaki Grill Griddle - Built-in Teppan Yaki, Japanese Drop-in Cook Top, Flat Top Contact Grill?

You can easily "cook" food scraps by pouring a little water around the cooking center (just as you would boil water to clean a rustless cooker). Reheat the device on 3-4 or move around until blisters form.

Use a straight edge (!) that does not scratch. Hard spatula (heat-resistant nylon or wood), carefully loosen the residue bit by bit and move the water to where needed. Then wipe off the residue.

Note: the surface + liquid is very hot!

Hold the rag/paper towel with pliers to prevent burns. Clean with water until the detergent and food particles are gone.

In order to remove any last marks or stains (if any), the surface must be cold.
Use non-scratchy nylon mesh cleaning pads, such as Scotch-BriteDobie.
Shake the "Barkeepers Friend" powder and add a little white water or Selzer.

Now, with a very long brush stroke, the grain (the visible structure in the metal) is used to finish the surface - edge to edge - until all the residue is gone. Never circle! Then rinse thoroughly with a damp cloth.

For hard-to-stain stains, stick it on the spot for about a minute. Then gently wipe and rinse.

Always complete, cold surface and grain side to side processing, do not hover.

To remove white spots or blue discoloration, follow the instructions to use BKF, or cut the lemon in half, squeeze gently, and wipe the cold surface with the cut side of the lemon. Clean immediately with a small amount of water.

To add shine or remove fingerprints, use a few drops of plain vegetable oil and paper towels or a soft rag.

You can even apply a quick-spraying non-stick cooking spray directly to the surface, or simply spray paper towels to avoid overspraying.

Finally, wipe thoroughly with a rag or paper towel to make sure there is no residual grease that might stain your clothes.

General maintenance

To prevent metal reaction, please properly maintain and clean regularly to remove all dust particles, as they can even damage the stainless steel over time. Do not use regular steel pads, wire brushes, or spatulas, as they can break the invisible shield and prevent corrosion. Do not use chlorinated bleach, chlorinated bleach, Ajax or any other abrasives or household acid cleaners as they can destroy the stainless steel properties of the metal.
