Hibachi Teriyaki Grill Tuna | Teriyaki Grill

These tuna flakes only need to be grilled for a few minutes. You want it to cook the fish hot and quickly without overcooking. When the tuna starts to harden on the hibachi teriyaki grill, it's time to take it off. The marinade is quickly boiled into a yaki sauce and poured over the tuna. This dish is delicious with rice and grilled vegetables.

 

Hibachi Teriyaki Grill Tuna

 

Ingredients

1 cup soy sauce
A glass of sake
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/3 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 pounds yellowfin tuna (thin slices)
Garnish: 2 shallots (chopped)
Garnish: 1/2 tablespoon roasted sesame seeds

 

Steps to Make It

In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, sake, wine, sugar, lemon juice, and ketchup. Stir well.

Put the cut tuna in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish.

Cover the lid and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 30 to 45 minutes.

Preheat the hibachi teriyaki grill to high heat. Pour the marinade into a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Turn the heat to medium-low and let the Japanese yaki sauce simmer for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring often. Remove from the fire and set aside.

Bake the tuna flakes for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Make sure the hibachi teriyaki grill is good and hot so that the fish can be hibachi teriyaki grilled quickly.

After cooking, remove the tuna from the hibachi teriyaki grill and place it on a dish.

Pour the simmering sauce on top and garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Service and enjoy!
