Commercial freezer refrigerated display case - air cooled and straight cold

When we buy a refrigerated display case, we can often hear everyone say that the freezer is cooled, air-cooled and straight-cooled. Many people don't know the difference between the air-cooled and the direct-cooled display of the refrigerated display cabinet. What's more, the refrigerated display cabinets with different cooling methods often don't know how to choose because we don't know the two. What are the differences in cooling methods, and what are the advantages and disadvantages. So, is the refrigerated display caset cool or cold?

In general, the use of refrigerated display cases is relatively wide. Refrigerated display cabinets can be divided into air-cooled freezer and direct-cooling freezer. The air-cooled freezer has a fan that can automatically defrost and not freeze. The direct-cooling freezer has no fan. Icing, defrosting needs to be done manually.

Moreover, Cookeryaki reminds everyone here that in fact, the air-cooled cooling method we often say is to install a finned evaporator and a set of air duct circulation components in the refrigerated display cabinet. The fan motor forms a loop up and down through the air cooled by the evaporator to achieve the purpose of cooling. Since the cold air is blown in, it does not cause moisture to be absorbed from the stored food and frost. Therefore, the air-cooled type is also called frost-free. In fact, there is no frost on the inner wall surface, and the surface of the evaporator is still frosted, but it does not need manual defrosting but automatic defrosting.

The direct cooling method is also called the natural convection of cold air. The refrigerator has an evaporator, and the size of the evaporator is reasonably matched according to the size and temperature requirements of the room. The cooling method is to cool the food by natural convection of cold air.

A more intuitive explanation:

Direct cooling:

Advantages: more energy-saving, the same volume, the effective volume is large. The advantages of direct cooling technology are low manufacturing cost, good fresh-keeping effect and low power consumption. The direct-cooling freezer is a frost freezer. The freezer compartment is directly enclosed by the evaporator, or there is an evaporator in the freezing compartment. In addition, an evaporator is arranged in the upper part of the refrigerating compartment, and the evaporator directly draws heat to cool down. The structure of such a freezer is relatively simple, the power consumption is small, and the fresh-keeping effect is good, but the freezer compartment needs to be defrosted regularly.

Disadvantages: slow cooling rate, poor temperature uniformity, manual defrosting.

Air-cooled:

Advantages: no need for defrosting, clean and fresh, cold air is forced into the space inside the box by the air duct, causing circulation and uniform temperature. The free defrosting of the freezer compartment has low humidity, uniform cooling to achieve precise temperature control, and the food does not freeze together, reducing the phenomenon of mutual odor. The direct-cooling refrigerators is a frost freezer.

Disadvantages: high technical cost, high power consumption; food is easy to dry and dehydrated, suitable for use in wet areas. The power consumption is higher than the direct cooling type, and the effective volume is small under the same volume. Air-cooled type with fast freezing speed, no frost (automatic defrosting), food preservation and temperature uniformity;

The wind is cold:

The wind-cooled hybrid display cabinet combines the advantages of the first two. The cold storage room is directly cooled, the moisture of the food is not easily lost, and the freezer compartment is air-cooled, and does not require regular defrosting. But the price is the most expensive and the energy consumption is relatively high.

From the aspect of refrigeration, the direct cooling type consumes less power, has low noise, low price, and keeps fresh foods fresh; the speed is slow, the temperature uniformity is poor, and manual defrosting is required. The air-cooled type has a fast freezing speed, no frost (automatic defrosting), food preservation, and uniform temperature; but it consumes a large amount of electricity, has high noise, and has a high price.

The evaporator of the air-cooled freezer is hidden at the top and bottom of the freezer. After cooling, the cold air is blown into the freezer through the fan. Without ultra-low temperature, naturally it will not freeze. The evaporator of the air-cooled freezer will still absorb the water vapor frosting in the air. When the freezer compressor is stopped, it will heat the evaporator and automatically defrost. All of this is done without the user being aware of it. Because people in the present view still prefer to take care of defrosting, the frost-free air-cooled freezer is more popular among young people, making people feel more convenient.
